Asaf Gertler

Dr. Gertler serves as our Senior VP of Clinical Affairs. Prior to joining us, Dr. Gertler served as a clinical laboratory director of the pathology department at Hadassah Medical Center both at the Ein Karem and the Mount Scopus sites of Hadassah.

Dr. Gertler oversaw the overall management as well as specific project management including annual budget management, human resources management, the introduction of new platforms and technologies, implementation of new diagnostics, upgrading of infrastructure, maintaining the ISO quality system, and characterization of LIMS updates. In addition, Dr. Gertler was part of several internal committees and bodies at Hadassah including the laboratories ISO group, the organizational tissue committee (Israeli MOH regulations), the Hadassah new technologies approval committee, and the “seed money fund" committee for applied research projects.

In addition, Dr. Gertler was the clinic-pharma coordinator on behalf of the pathology department leading many successful projects of early access diagnostics and treatments that were presented to the Israeli MOH, Health Basket Committee. In this period, Dr. Gertler is a lecturer in the course "Clinical Pathology" at the Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan. Dr. Gertler was a research associate at Professor Haim Cohen's laboratory at Bar-Ilan University, where he performed his Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship researching aging and metabolism. Dr. Gertler holds B.Sc., M.Sc., and a Ph.D. in biotechnology from Bar Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel.
